  • Do I need a licence to rent a boat?

A licence is required to navigate our boats. However, if you and your crew do not have a boat licence you can easily add a skipper at the checkout.

We recommend hiring a professional skipper for at least 1 day in case you do not know the navigation area or if you do not have much experience.

  • How do I book?

It is very easy to rent a boat with Boat4U, just click on BOOK NOW box, and follow the instructions. You can also contact us via email, phone (+385 99 2752 555) or WhatsApp to pre-book your boat.

To confirm your reservation you must make a first payment of 50% of the total price of the boat rental by bank transfer, cash or credit card (VISA, MASTERCARD or MAESTRO).

The remaining 50% of the charter will be paid (cash or card) on boarding day.

  • How far in advance should I book my rental?

How summer is getting closer it gets super busy so book as far in advance as you can so you have more chance of reserving the dates you want.

  • What is included in the boat rental price?

25 % VAT, Cleaning, Mooring at the base port, Insurance, Snorkelling equipment (diving masks), Life jackets.

  • What is not included in the boat rental price?

Fuel consumption, the moorings away from the base port, National Park Entrance fee.

*FUEL: After the charter and navigation and before delivering the boat to its mooring, the client or skipper will refuel the boat petrol tank at the petrol station leaving the fuel level as it was at the previous check-in (full). When refuelling at the gas station is not possible, fuel consumption will be calculated by multiplying the hours of navigation made during the charter (engine running hours) by the fuel hour consumption of the boat. This payment will be made in cash to the person in charge of the check-out. Be assured that at Boat4U there are no hidden costs and we will make sure you know all the costs involved on making the booking.

  • What time does the charter start?

We normally recommend departing between 09:00 am and 11:00 am to get the most out of your charter, but it’s entirely up to you!  Our charters are 8 hours.

  • How long is my boat rental (schedules)?

    Day charter:
    CHECK-IN – starting from 09:00 am
CHECK-OUT – at 19:00 pm (before *sunset and before the petrol station closes so that the boat can be refulled).

    Long term rentals:
The time and day of check-in and check-out will be set in each case prior confirmation.

*No charter boat is allowed to navigate at night.

  • Do I need to pay security deposit?

Bareboat charter rental requires a deposit delivered upon check-in in cash or credit card and returnable at check-out. The client leaves a deposit (1.000,00 Eur) as a guarantee that all possible losses or damage incurred during the lease shall be compensated. Deposit is returned to the Client in full after we find that the vessel is returned at the agreed time at the agreed place and undamaged. The deposit is not mandatory when the vessel is rented with our skipper.

  • How much fuel does my charter boat use?

Each boat consumes different amounts of fuel. We will give you an estimate when you book your charter.

  • Can we bring our kids?

All of our boats are child friendly and we will make sure to have the appropriate child life vests on board.

  • Can we bring our own food and drinks on board?

We allow clients to bring their own food and drinks on board.

  • The boat we like is too small for our group, what can we do?

We can organise a tandem rental. The two boats stay together at all times.

  • What fun things can we do?

Take advantage of the snorkelling gear provided on your charter boat to explore the Mediterranean sea or maybe you can try paddle board, wakeboard and inflatable toys.

  • What if our charter can’t go ahead due to bad weather?

It’s very rare to get bad weather days in the summer in Croatia. However, nature works in mysterious ways. If your charter needs to be cancelled due to bad weather or boat malfunction we would do our best to reschedule. If that is not possible you will receive a refund.
    * Bad weather means rough sea and/or navigation conditions which may constitute a risk for the boat or the passage; it also applies in cases of heavy rain, but not on cloudy days with no sun.
